Official Bio

 Julie Hyzy's amateur sleuth series, beginning with Deadly Blessings, features Chicago news researcher Alex St. James. The second in the series, Deadly Interest, won the 2007 Lovey award for best traditional mystery. Her short story, "Strictly Business" in the Bleak House anthology, These Guns For Hire, won a Derringer Award from the Short Mystery Fiction Society.

Julie also has a new series coming out from Berkley Prime Crime introducing the first female White House Executive Chef who feeds the First Family and saves the world in her spare time. State of the Onion will be out in January.
